want a good game tonight. Wont be able to watch most of it though :(. lets go rangers!
 
When someone puts up a PGT later, please make sure to omit the final score from the title. It doesn't really matter for preseason games, but we might as well get in the habit for when the regular season opens. Thanks.

Also. In preseason, a lot of us guys following the team from overseas like to catch up on the games the day after, since staying up all night to watch a preseason game is a bit much. Even if the score doesn't matter in these games, it adds a little bit of excitement to the game not knowing it in advance.
 
I had a delusional notion that I was going to get my internal clock adjusted to match the time zone I actually live in.

Considering there is a game tonight, that is unlikely to happen. Though the 3 AM start time may just be late enough for me to realize the idiocy of staying up.

He meshes well with guys who like to have the puck on their sticks. He did well with Zuccarello and Hagelin, puck possession guys.

Hagelin-Boyle worked very well in 11-12, not so much in 12-13. I think the reason they worked together was Mitchell on the other wing, Boyle was just a passenger. Although you could flip it around and say; Boyle was just awful in the reg. season 2012-13 and no one really worked well with him.

Boyle and Zuccarello have only spent ~40 minutes on the ice together 5v5 over the past three seasons, so I don't think you can say much about how well they wok together.

I just meant by using my eyes, not from stats. They work well together because those guys liked to carry the puck. Boyle should be a winger.
 
need a little more compete from Kreider tonight.

Need to see him not only engage, but initiate.

use his speed, use his frame and get to the front of the net. Get there with ill intent, stay there and Richards or Nash will find you.

As big as he is, it's going to take more than one defender to move him. He's juts got to find that level of compete in him.

Can't wait! Going to be there for the pregame skate too. Just got ot get all the kids squared away at home with food etc.

Was it Boyle on the other wing? I just remember Brass and Zucc tearing **** up.

But yeah, I agree with the overarching point that Boyle needs a puck-carrier on his line. His job should just be going to the net and hope someone bounces a puck in the net off of him.
 
I wonder if Kreider will be used in front of the net on the PP tonight. Echoing what pld said, he must raise his compete level to play in front of the net - Kreider has to maintain his position and be prepared to battle it out with defenders if he is to be successful there.
 
Did anyone else have a problem last week with the game being blacked out? I live in San Jose and have directv. Am I the only one that had this happen or were there others?
 
Well at least there's no risk of Tim Erixon being murdered on the ice like that weird Calgary forum all wanted.
