[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

These two first-rounders are really impressive, they’ve both done a good job.
Lias is more of a hard-working two-way player. Chytil is highly skilled and can make plays no one else can do.
I think we are very lucky to have both, when their time comes.
- Mats Zuccarello

“It’s not a bad thing. It’s something I’m anticipating and I’m ready for.
I knew coming into making this decision that it would be there, so it’s not like it’s going to hit me like a brick wall.
I think that’s just the pressure of playing in NY, as well. You just have to perform on the big stage, and I’m looking forward to that opportunity.
- Kevin Shattenkirk

It was a continuation of what we’ve seen in practice. He’s very smooth and a good skater. He was able to go into traffic.
He does it in practice his teammates aren’t going to abuse him so it was interesting to see what he could do in a game.
He got into traffic and made the plays that he had to make.
- Alain Vigneault

The full lineup hasn't been posted yet (lines and pairings), so Loffen probably just filled in the gaps. We'll find out more later today

pionk on the featured pair.

nice.

pionk and deangelo would seem to be the go to pp point guys with this group.

pumper with a feature line too.

buch and cheeto could be fun

Kampfer is the vet on defense.

I suspect--it being a home game for the Islanders that they're going to dress a pretty strong lineup so this should be a real test for Pionk, Bereglazov, Graves and DeAngelo on D and Chytil at C.

Probably the last game from Tambellini, Stromwall and Lettieri. Gotta think they're headed down with Pack camp about to start up.

Carey I guess they're continuing to evaluate as a potential injury call-up.

I like that they're gluing Hayes and Vesey together. I guess they trained together extensively and certainly showed good chemistry in the last game. Keep building on that for the regular season. Would be awesome if Vesey became a 20-20 guy this year. Hayes can certainly help get him there.

part of me wants to see Chytil with lesser linemates to see how he handles himself. zuc makes lots of people look good

From the interview with AV it seemed like Staal might be competing for his spot on D. I hope I picked up on that correctly and it's not just wishful thinking.

Wishful thinking indeed. If Staal is just on the bottom pairing with limited mins, then I am satisfied for the most part. Doubt they are going to scratch a healthy 5 million dollar player. But we shall see.

Geez AV benched Kreider and Zibs again so he can play his buddy Farnham. How can he do this? The season is over. :D

have any of our stellar beat writers tweeted out the line combos and pairings from practice this morning?

Haven't seen any pairings/lines aside from JT-Chytil-Buchnevich.

We can only speculate with the list of players they put out.
