Yeah, a good performance by DeAngelo. Miller has been decent as center too the little I`ve seen which is not much.

So my question is what kind of performance have we seen by Lias this night are you happy about him? :)

20 min. of hockey though. ;)

Pionk is a pretty shifty player but I think is size/strength is going to be a bit of an issue at the moment.
Kid needs to hit the weight room..

They said he trained in NY all summer and added 10 lbs. of muscle and cut his body fat 2%. If that's true and he's now playing at over 190, that's okay for a guy his height.

:help:

I need to keep thinking back to last years playoffs and how much ice time Holden/Staal got to help remind myself how much I hate AV.

Lias looked good. Strong on the puck, worked the boards, was involved.

Yes but he treats Nash exactly the same in the regular season.

Nash was 5th last year in PP TOI. I mean he was behind Pirri in PP TOI last season. I can see Miller, Mika, Buch, and Hayes all being ahead of him, with Kreider and Zucc getting the most TOI, as they should.

I understand the refs are trying to enforce stricter rules regarding slashing and forceful chops to the hands and stick, but it will be frustrating when they slowly swallow their whistles throughout the season and then completely swallow them during the playoffs. My point is there seems to be three levels of officiating every year: preseason, season, and playoffs. Inconsistent. I can see why the players and coaches get frustrated.

Even the refs probably know they are stifling the game with the ticky-tacky, but they get these memo's from the home office, especially early in the season. I tend to think that when they relax with the whistle it's cuz they personally want some more unshaped, uncensored hockey for the sheer joy of it, and tired of being hall monitors.

And he was 9th in ES TOI which is the problem

Scott Mayfield looks like a homeless Kid Rock

So, Kid Rock basically

Thanks you, that is who I saw when he did that eye roll on the way to the box. Couldn't quite place it til now
Thank goodness the Mayfield Mystery is over for me now...

5th is still too high. Nash has never been good on the PP in his career. Hes been a dominant ES player. AV should be utilizing him better.
