He had a pretty horrendous giveaway that just led to a great scoring chance. He's good on the forecheck but looked a little lost in his own end.

Looked like he just lost the handle. Long reach on the PK too.

Don’t see how this is relevant to anything when there are only 4 forwards in the lineup guaranteed a spot.

Lindgren with some nice passes but some issues handling the puck.

Plonk competes. He is small but has a big heart. Is that enough?

Gettinger sure runs hot and cold.

Claesen worries me.

Agreed. Most of it is probably just rust though. I thought his defensive zone reads were decent.

Hard to get a read with all the penalty time.
- Nieves was a bit disappointing as I feel he should be one of those guys really using preseason to push for a spot. He always 'almost there' but doesn't quite get it done and his early penalty was just lazy
- Pionk was out positioned on the first goal and then got no help at all from whichever forward didn't get back, then on the PP goal he seemed to get a bit lost as well with his positioning
- DeAngelo and Staal looked like a pretty solid pairing early in
- Andersson looked very good, certainly no issue with his skating (or his finish) on the breakaway
- Fast looks like Fast (which is a good thing)

Would like to see some of the bubble guys start to push the tempo a bit in the 2nd

I’m okay with someone shooting from the back end. Some shots will get blocked. His shots routinely get through and he’s shooting for sticks.

I saw one pass in the skates to a guy who was circling back and I’m not sure he couldn’t have take it on the tape if he tried.

Lias skating has improved quite a bit after this summer, and a great start for him consider he is competing to get a spot on the Rangers team this season and it won`t be on our 4th line.
