That's a hilarious way of describing Zaddy. But not entirely wrong. He's very much a +/-, risk/reward sort of defenceman.Tanev is the right fit for the Leafs I think. He cab move the puck and defend. I'd be looking for 2 2nd rounders or a late 1st if the deal happened in the offseason. A 1st and 2nd at the TDL. I like Z in Calgary. I don't think he'd be a good fit for the Leafs. They need a player who can defend top competition, move the puck and doesn't make mistakes. Tanev or Hanifin fit the bill. Z makes you come out of your seat in both good and bad ways. Like a physical Jake Gardiner.
Tanev is the guy though. He's the opposite. He's a no risk, decent reward sort of defenceman. He's never going to do anything exciting...but i really do believe he'd be the perfect partner for a guy like Rielly.
He's made a lost less accomplished players look legit. He just makes the game easy for his partner in a pretty unique way.
