Good finish by Abramov, showing some of his promise.

I'm not sure how many noticed in the aftermath, with Duszak and Perron? of the Blues chirping... first guy over to Duszak in all of that was Douglas.... Douglas isn't going to let anyone push around one of the smaller guys on the team... we could use more guys like that, especially with Douglas's size.

I wish I could see that. We've always lacked this, and that is definitely a way to stand out at these kinds of tournaments to Management.

Douglas is my new favorite underdog.

Anyone know what's happening with Brazeau, speaking of my favorite long-shots.............?

Skimmed through the YouTube vid. What I saw tho was the same as game1.

1. Nick still too good for the level.

2. Gogolev the 2nd best.

3. Douglas impressive. Goat is the obvious comparison but he's bigger than goat and seems to have a much better idea of what to do with the puck out there.

4. McKenna impressed again.

5. Abramov and SDA again not so good.

6. Villeneuve looking quite nice out there.

Brazeau signed an AHL deal with the Bruins' affiliate

Other than size there's nothing in Robertssons game that's close to Point. They are in different leagues

Right now he's close to being more like Tyler Ennis. Before you say omg no way, Tyler is a fringe NHLer take a look at his stats

Tyler Ennis was a prolific goal scorer in WHL and even in AHL along with good showing in WJC

Ennis has had multiple 20 goals season in nhl

Ennis is also super fiesty, I don't think Nik is. Ennis got into multiple fights in NHL with bigger opponents

He's not fiesty or nasty enough to be in Gallagher territory or skilled enough to be Pointe and Marchant

I'd say Brayden Point is a good player to follow and mold his game stylistically after, to channel his work ethic along the way Point plays, not that he's a Brayden Point clone at this time.

What very little we've seen of Robertson in the NHL is chases the game quite a bit, which is also understandable given the gaps in development time over the past 2 years. For a player who has been a sniper at lower levels, he seemed to struggle with blending into the play, getting lost at the right times and then re-emerging when a scoring threat opens up like a Cole Caufield. So maybe he wants to be more of the puck carrying, high motor guy who is involved with everything.

Brazeau is no longer with the Leafs. He signed with the Bruins. He never really took any development steps.

Love that Robertson stood up for himself near the end of the game there. Got ran, so he cross checked his man after the play, and then got into a tussle. Need that kind of heart and tenacity out of more guys on our team.

Well, looks like 55 Carson Meyer was running around a little bit with other Leaf guys after he went after Robertson so it was nice that he went after him.
