Vote for who you think is the Penguins best prospect.

Also tell me who you want added in the next poll. I'm keeping the polls around 10 players.

Poll closes in 2-4 days, unless voting is not close.

Puustinen, St. Ivany and so on have graduate and are not on the list.

Here are last year's results:

#1 - Yager - Votes: 56 - 71.8%
#2 - Pickering - Votes: 49 - 86.0%
#3 - Blomqvist - Votes: 33 - 63.5%
#4 - Puustinen - Votes: 43 - 50.6% *** I asked people to change their vote to avoid a runoff poll
#5 - Poulin - Votes: 31 - 63.3%
#6 - Murashov - Votes: 27 - 62.8%
#7 - Broz - Votes: 33 - 68.8%
#8 - Pieniniemi - Votes: 17 - 37.8%
#9 - Belliveau - Votes: 13 - 37.1%
#10 - Tankov - Votes: 15 - 39.5% *** I asked people to change their vote to avoid a runoff poll
#11 - Gauthier - Votes: 11 - 35.5%
#12 - Gruden - Votes: 16 - 43.2%
#13 - Ilyin - Votes: 15 - 65.2%
#14 - Svejkovsky - Votes: 16 - 53.3% *** I asked people to change their vote to avoid a runoff poll
#15 - Jarventie - Votes: 18 - 66.7%
#16 - Collins - Votes: 7 - 24.1%
#17 - Plante - Votes: 7 - 33.3%
#18 - Glover - Votes: 7 - 29.2%
#19 - Andonovski - Votes: 8 - 33.3%
#20 - Foster - Votes: 6 - 25.0%
#21 - Hamaliuk - lost the tie breaker to Foster as he had fewer votes total in polls 18 to 20 which included everyone
#22 - Ansons - had more votes in polls 18 to 20 than whoever below
#23 - Nickl - same reason as #22
#24 - Kangas - I hope you get it now and I don't have to explain
#25 - Yoder - for real
#26 (tied) - Devlin, Frasca, Laatsch, St. Ivany

St. Ivany proving us all wrong.

I'm fine to at least go to 15, since we've actually added a few prospees recently who don't seem to be total duds. EDIT: oh you mean options. Anyway point still stands, please cap it at 20 this time haha.

And yeah, big miss with JSI. It is funny giving votes to guys like Collins who are DOA draft picks, but that's sorta the state of our prospects with recent drafting.

Also, the voting gap between Blom and Yager is nowhere near the actual gap.

Murashov too low and Pono too high in my humble opinion.

Is St.Ivany going to be eligible? He’s Calder eligible still so I’d stick him in.

I don't like the Calder eligibility definition(s). 26 is, at this point, too old as a cut-off. And the "professional league" is poorly defined.

Regarding JSI, no, he'll be 25 at the start of the season and that's my cut-off for age. Another cut-off is games played/total time on ice in the NHL (dependent on age and position [to add, GP is a poor cut-off as well]). And another is number of NHL contracts they've had (<=2).

For example, Ty Smith is still 24. But he has 2300+ minutes of NHL ice time AND he's on his 3rd NHL contract. Yes, I know he's no longer Penguins property.

Bemstrom is ruled out, as is DOC. And Poulin will be "graduated" once he hits x-number of minutes or goes to his 3rd NHL contract.

Gonna be interesting to see how far Poulin falls. It is still crazy to me I had to campaign hard to get Puusy above him last year.

The poll gets interesting after Yager and Blomqvist. Not sure how to rank everyone after those two

Broz should be on the voting list above some of these guys, Brunicke too I think, if Howe is listed.

JSI going from unlisted to graduated is cool. Gruden was underrated last year: low ceiling but can play 4th line right now.

Cool to see so many additions to this list, and to see some of our top guys from last year take steps forward.

Should be 5th behind Murashov, Blomqvist, Pickering and Yager.

I imagine this board will put Koivunen and Pono above him probably Illyin too.

If that's the case, seems like it's a smart board.
