I went with Cristall.

Regarding Lapierre, I hadn’t followed since he went down, but no goals is no good. No one was a bigger fan of this kid than me, but he’s pulling a Syd Barrett.

AC's crazy high ceiling - even acknowledging pretty low floor relatively - takes this spot for me fairly easily.

Comparing a player still in juniors to someone who was the best player in a playoff series in the NHL and won AHL playoff MVP is ridiculous
Can't care less if he has been a world beater a year ago, this is a poll right now. You want to excuse somebody for sucking because he's too old for juniors? Yeah not sure what's more ridiculous here but definitely not 0 goals in 4 months. Another season like this and the dude might as well be packing for Europe.

I went Cristall because IMO he has by far the best odds of becoming an impact player.

Lapierre doesn't even really register with me as a potential impact player. He's almost 23, which is generally the start of a player's prime years. If he is a fringe NHLer now, at age 23, what are his most likely outcomes?

Miro is only a year older than Cristal and has performed well in a variety of roles, completely juiced the checking line this year, Dowd’s #s are better across the board with Miro
And any questions about upside, think about how he’s gotten healthy and expanded his game year over year over year

This is where it gets fun!

I like Lapierre here. I think he has good potential. Bake another year. He has speed and can carry the puck. Hope he develops that in Hershey this year and is a ready call up and full timer next year. If he isn’t ready next year I’ll worry. But nothing wrong with his arc. I think Cristal is going to need a lot of development to play with men.

He took so much acid he’s lost his mind?! Does the Caps FO know about this?!

Anyways, I guess I’ll go Cristall. But I’d like it to be Miro.
