Keep in mind this is under-23 pipeline and that we really are a couple years behind stockpiling like those other teams have

Also good to keep in mind for those crying about being ranked 5th...out of all the teams ahead of the Kings, no other team had a higher jump in rank from last year to this year (13th to 5th). In addition, NYR and NJD actually dropped in ranking.

Kirsanov 6. Turcotte 7.

Every NHL team passed on Kirsanov in the draft, 2 or 3 times. Yet if Blake offered Turcotte to any team for a 2nd rounder, all teams would have made that deal...and I bet most picking in the 20 to 32 range in the first round, would have made that deal. Turcotte has a high floor and his only issue is that he keeps sustaining injuries; that may actually hold him back from reaching his ceiling.

Ranking Faber so low....I guess Pronman overvalues top end offense, over being a stellar, overall defenseman. Pronman does not measure character or a coaches perspective.
Coaches put Faber out in the last minutes of a game, or to shut down the other teams top line. The first 3 or 4 games of the WJC, Faber played mistake free hockey all game.
Was something to behold.

I can understand people having different opinions on prospects, but his rankings have been pretty bizarre.
Last year he had Fagemo #1 over Vilardi, Turcotte, Bjornfot, etc, and Anderson wasn't even an honorable mention.
He also had Turcotte above Vilardi last year, and after a somewhat disappointing season by Vilardi, and a pretty decent year for Turcotte, Vilardi is now ranked above Turcotte.
Some of his rankings just don't make a whole lot of sense.

it takes players in the NHL as well. So guys like Dahlin and Stuetzle rank in very high.
#5 is close IMO, next year I think LA will be #1.

The Faber ranking is the most confusing. He ranked Buffalo's system as #1 and had Ryan Johnson as their 6th best prospect. Faber outplayed Johnson at the WJC and the entire season in college hockey while being a year younger than him.
