Can't believe Ivan Ryabkin is that low.
Pronman has never been a fan of Hagens. He was talking up Frondell as 1OA right before the U18's, and then Hagens set the tournament points record. And then he shut up for one ranking. Puts him at 1OA. And then the next one he's back to finding a player he likes more than Hagens with no explanation for why. Obvious he's not a fan of Hagens.
Ryabkin is having a bad season so far plus, he has weight issues.
Can't believe Ivan Ryabkin is that low.
How on earth did this happen? The only prospect that currently has a chance would be Schaefer and I still think Hagens clearly is #1 as we stand.
How about a quick list for those that don't have membership?
I think most would disagree with this characterization.16 games, 16 goals, 16 assists, 6'3.
Meanwhile Hagens has been good but not quite showing the same elite level as Fantilli or Celebrini. I currently have Hagens beneath those two though there's a lot more time for Hagens to get comfortable be who he is.
I would still have Hagens 1st but no Ryabkin in top 10 is pretty crazy.1 Martone
2 Hagens
---------
3 Schaefer

4 Misa
5 McQueen

6 Frondell
7 Desnoyers

8 Aitcheson
9 Smith
10 Carbonneau
And Martone skates well/is particularly skilled. He’s got a profile that NHL teams can’t help themselves but gravitate towards. Unless Hagens takes his season up a notch and starts getting closer to Celebrini, you’ll likely see some of the other prospect lists start putting Martone above, maybe even Schaefer and Misa too as they are also having unbelievably good seasons so far.16 games, 16 goals, 16 assists, 6'3.

All the smoke with his possible xfer to NA, and then public interviews in RU calling out his fitness and attitude, plus a poor start to the season, seems to indicate more likely "fire."no Ryabkin in top 10 is pretty crazy.
Then how come Schmidt is ranked but Spence isn't?We've been over this enough times. Pronman hates small guys. He won't rate them. That explains basically 90% of his ranking decisions.
Ravensbergen at 13.Any goalies on the list? Harenstam and D'Aigle have come out of the gate like a wet fart.
"90%" of his ranking decisions. Then how come Schmidt is ranked but Spence isn't?
I have no issue with Schmidt being ranked in the first round, but Spence should be top-15."90%" of his ranking decisions.
The fact that the issue is the last guy ranked on his board is kinda evidence of my point.
I don't know enough about 7-10 to have a strong opinion, but surprising to not see Eklund here at all, especially since he still remains relatively high on Frondell. I am personally on the side of people are way overreacting to Frondells struggles when its just based on way too many injury issues and his prolonged time to get back into shape. But its hard to not think victor Eklund deserves to be in the same tier as him right now, and not even top 10 seems absurd.1 Martone

To be fair, Eklund is ranked #11.I don't know enough about 7-10 to have a strong opinion, but surprising to not see Eklund here at all, especially since he still remains relatively high on Frondell. We’re getting into semantics, but your poll is not what the topic in this thread is. We are talking about tier or level. You can be third (or second or first) and be on the same tier or level. A ranking doesn’t necessarily tell us the answer.I don't think they would, at least not the ones who watch Hagens this year and who are most invested.
I've made a poll to see if others have a different perspective, right now I'm hearing a lot of folk who think Hagens is a tier below those guys and would be more in the conversation that Hishier was pre draft.
Semantics aside, I feel most people had Fantilli as being a much better player at the same age as Hagens, Fantilli would be first overall if he was in this draft just based off of his college play. Fantilli was on pace to be the second most points by a first time draft eligible player in NCAA history (after only Kariya). Celebrini had higher hopes than Fantilli due to a more complete play style and less competing noise. We’re getting into semantics, but your poll is not what the topic in this thread is. And further, your suggestion was about what he’s shown in college hockey. Otherwise, why name those two specifically? A rankings of who are the best long term prospects doesn’t really get to the heart of whether he’s played at the level of those players or not.
