I think the US will be pretty similar in 2026 and 2028, with hopefully the 4th line swapped out for guys like Tuch, Robertson, Thompson, Keller.

2030 is where it might get interesting, with the 2014-2016 draft classes going to be 32-33 years old, and quite a few talented Americans in their primes:

Cooley, Knies, Smith, Leonard, Hagens, Boldy, Hughes, Gauthier, Caufield, maybe Zegras turns his game around.

That's 7 through Hughes to go with Matthews, Eichel, the Tkachuks, Larkin and maybe Keller.

2030 defense I'm thinking probably a Q. Hughes, McAvoy, Sanderson, Faber top 4 with L. Hughes and maybe somebody like Vlasic on the 3rd pair (he's impressed me when I've seen him in the NHL) if one of them can play the off-side.

100% The best is when a nation like Latvia or Switzerland take them to a 2-1 win while reading the GDT predicting 10-0 AINEC.

Unlike the other nations.. I have no idea if Czechs get better (it's a low bar to clear) or worse.lol We are in a rebuild and need a reasonable amount of our guys to 'hit' in the NHL. Guys drafted in top 100 with some pedigree. Our building blocks are Necas, Pasta, Chytil, Dostal, Vej, Mrazek, Hronek, Gudas (2030 should be his last one), Zacha, Hertl, Palat and Kampf (he's key in bottom 6 for us and doesn't have Reeves as his linemate).

D is our big problem. And if all our guys hit then Left D is our big problem.lol

The good news is that the work is done for those tournaments. Our junior successes at U20 and Hlinka should project towards 2028 and 2030. The bad news... no guarantee this crop below isn't the next Kaut, Zboril, Hajek and Zadina.

So if half these guys make the NHL and are regulars than we are fine and will be back to a big 5 again (6 if Russia ever gets reinstated):

Jiricek, Jiricek, Svozil, Kulich, Sapovaliv, Hrabal, Hamara, Sale, Alscher, Mrtka, Benak, Becher, Kos, Jecho, Milota, Dvorak, Felcman, Mysak, Pytlik (let's call this a big longshot), Blumel

Why those guys? All are top 100 draft picks (Benak may not be drafted at all, Mrtka has yet to be drafted)

If 3 or 4 of the outsiders could hit that would be very helpful too (Ivan stuck for half a season) - longshots for sure but I am a big fan of all these guys.
