No one cares
I wonder if he's playing through some kind of injury... Uncharacteristically mediocre of late.
What I've been seeing all season has little to do with an injury. Watch him without the puck next game we play(you might already do this) and you will see what I am referring to. He has no idea what to do defensively, almost Drouin-like. He flies the zone too early and loses his man in defensive coverage. I wouldn't have predicted that Slaf would be a better compliment to Suzuki but he is becoming just that. Caufield reminds me of Kessell and Mike Hoffman in his Ottawa days, an offensive threat only and with that said, not every player needs to be in the running for the Selke. Still, there are defensive responsibilities when playing on the first line and he is lacking.

They should send Struble back to Laval and bring Mailloux for a few games and put back Guhle at LD.

Guhle-Savard
Xhekaj-Mailloux
Matheson-Kovacevic
Harris

I'm convinced we won't progress as a team if we keep him on that first line.
He looks worse this season and I don't think man on man is a game he can play.
The premise being you absolutely have to win the one on one battles which is not his or many of our players strong suits.

Primeau was great and for 6 minutes, so was the whole team. Other than that they were playing hot-potato in their own end and making Primeau earn that shutout. The refs had a sub-par game but hey, these are two of the worst teams in the league so why should they be any better?
Still, it was entertaining and no money was taken from my account so I’m good.

I'm not mistaking Roy to a McDavid but i am honestly impressed by the learning curve and how he seems to adapt and thrive albeit the higher pace of the NHL. He seems to have the cpu to deal with it and make good decisions. Coupled with good players he has an impact.

I like how he's not horrendous defensively which makes it bearable to keep him up. He's clearly an NHL player in the raw, we're seeing the improvement since the first game which is really not that far away. I dunno but he seems like he'll be on the top 6 sooner than later. He may need 2-3 years but the potential is there. I'm thrilled

People doesn’t seem to make up their mind. Him being better defensively and using his playmaking, some of you where saying that wasn’t something you guys wanted to see from him. He has a game with at least 4 high danger chances shot and is everywhere in the o zone, it’s still not enough.

Could we flip the 3 and P and he could be C3P0?

I watched him play most of his games in Laval and he was terrific in a long play off run a few seasons back. He just looked like he would never make the jump.
Yeah he had that run and then regressed for whatever reason.
I said in the GDT the extra time to work on stuff may have been a blessing in disguise.
He looks nothing like the goalie who started the season when he was giving up goals on both sides blocker and glove.
Marc Denis pointed it out tonight he was challenging everything.

With Roy, I"m actually on my 2nd or 3rd helping of crow. I never doubted his talent. I just didn't think he'd be able to make the jump to the Habs. While continuing to play as well as he has.

This Gallagher hate really needs to stop. SMH.
I definitely prefer watching our young guns on the ice but it’s hard not to love a player like Gallagher. He gives you everything and he’s what I like to call a “pest” (and I mean that as a compliment). Everyone on the other teams hates playing against him, used to be even worse when he was younger and healthier.
