i think that thought is inline with the coaching staff at this point of the season. we are in the playoffs. be competitive, but at the end push for OVOvi goal and a point is fine for me

Well, didn't get the 2 but an Ovi goal and a point. Knob Creek has me mellow enough to say it's good. Especially with Carolina losing in regulation so we cement our Eastern lead and didn't give up the top seed (home ice) chase. G'night all! On to MN.Would appreciate a birthday W, boys!
the SC odds are even worse for the team that finishes 2nd overall though..I'm very superstitious, so I want the Jet's to win the PT. The odds are very much against the PT winner winning the Cup.
Not for the Caps because we already have won the PT 3 times and it got us nowhere.the SC odds are even worse for the team that finishes 2nd overall though..

Aren’t you a “tanking is for losers” guy? But you don’t want them to win the PT because superstition??Not for the Caps because we already have won the PT 3 times and it got us nowhere.
Yea, the actual stats don’t bear out the supposed curse. IIRC in the 40 years it’s existed, the PT winner still has the best odds to win the SC.the SC odds are even worse for the team that finishes 2nd overall though..
OV goal, his goal stole a point, keeps Jets in the PT race with us. I'm very superstitious, so I want the Jet's to win the PT. The odds are very much against the PT winner winning the Cup. Tie game, Jets got the xtra point in the 3 on 3 skills competition. Very positive for the Caps to go 2 for 2 on the PK against the leagues #1 PP. 1st goal on LT looked like he was distracted on that long slapshot. 2nd/3rd goals from the Jets are challenging shots to stop for any goalie especially on the glove-side having to laterally come across like that. From my perspective, both times the Jets couldn't put us away in regulation. Having scored the OT winner twice against us doesn't show to me that the Jets were the better team than us. 3 on 3 is a regular season part of the game to give a team an opportunity to get the 2nd point, but it does not equate to playoff OT. PP is the only thing negative for the Caps tonight.
