Does any guy that actually has a chance at making the Leafs want to show up tonight... call it nerves or whatever... but wtf ... I know it's just pre season but for the guys trying to make it... wake up.

One seeing eye puck and one terrible giveaway despite the Leafs dominating that period so far. Tough break for Sparks.

Trouble for Sparks, he's not even our third best goalie this camp.
Personally I hope we go with Pickard. I like McE also, but would hate to lose both Sparks and Pickard to waivers given their age. I think Pickard has a lot of upside.

Definitely good fortune for the Habs so far. Niemi has gotten away with a couple tire fires in his crease. Sometime we read way too much into short-term outcomes of a game played with a piece of bouncing rubber on ice.

That seemed to be the standard last season when the Leafs allowed a goal that looked to be goalie interference and it still counted after the coaches challenge.

Picard is way better than sparks. Mcbackup out shines them all

Which asset management-wise is why Pickard makes the most sense. Macs great, but it doesnt make sense to lose a good young goalie for another year or two of McBackup

Agreed, but I think we go with Mc. If we out both Sparks and Pickard on waivers at same time, maybe Pickard slips though. I like him.

Always have an uneasy feeling when Sparks is playing, just seems like he's constantly swimming and out of place.

I hope the job goes to McBackup, or Pickard. Preferably McBackup, he's been a warrior for us.

Really intrigued by Engvall as well. Has a good shot and skates well for a big guy. Definitely going to be catching a few games at the Ricoh this year. We've quietly moved ourselves back into having top 10-15 prospect pool even after all the graduates the past 2 years.
