Not much is known about Rick Tocchet’s plans for tonight’s lineup other than Arturs Silovs is expected to get the start in goal and play two periods while Nikita Tolopilo is likely to play the final 20 minutes in his preseason debut.
With the team flying home from Seattle late last night following a lacklustre 3-1 loss to the Kraken, the Canucks did not hold any sort of morning skate before heading over the Rockies for tonight’s contest.

Interesting they're looking at Rango between Huby and Mantha... but with the chemistry he and Huby lad after being paired together, it's not a bad idea and he and Mantha are different types of gal scorers, with Rango being a shooter and Mantha being more about garbage goals and scoring within 10 feet of the net.

Him being in the middle neuters his offense. He can do it in a pinch, but shouldnt be there full time.

But seriously, I do think this is a better combo than having Kuzmenko on the other wing though as he and Rango are to similar being that they re both shooters while Kuz has some of the creativity with the puck that Huby has. I'm not going to knock it until if I see if it works. I'd prefer Rango on the wing, but if it means Pospisil moves to 4C and Coronato has a place in the top 9, I'm not going to be too mad.

I think its because they saw him play there to end last season they have an idea. Where they really dont know how well Pops is at that position.
