If Vanecek has a half decent showing on Saturday night and Blackwood is the opening night starter, then that's just f***ed. No need to placate Blackwood. He isn't Marty Brodeur (and it wasn't right when we did it with him in 2013-2014 either) and we actually have a goalie signed to play here next year for over $3 million..... And it isn't him. Let's f***in use him.
It’s a pretty brutal lineup full of rookies against a pretty good lineup loaded with vets. I wasn’t expecting the JBoq line to do much against the Barzal line.
I agree but this last time it was our for sure AHL guys gettig hemmed in by their better players I wouldn’t read too much into it. But still… it has happened waaaaaayyy too often and needs to be fixed ASAP
Was actually some nice stuff by Clarke up top but other than that I concur.
I realize that but still, none have showed they at least belong on the same ice except maybe Clarke. Even Zetterlund has stunk it up tonight.
I agree 100%. It's obvious to anyone without a biased opinion that Vanecek is much better. For some reason though I still have a feeling Ruff runs with Blackwood for whatever reason. I just pray at the least for the home opener we start with Vanecek because I bought tickets. I'll be highly disappointed if it's Blackwood. There is 0 reason to have blind faith in him at this point. Just play the superior goalie & make Blackwood earn his spot back. No more of clinging onto the past (which wasn't even a long stretch of success)
