I'm starting to think Lalonde is generally out to lunch and can't coach a proper system into these guys to maximize their 200 ft potential. Tarasenko fit that role very well for Florida in their middle 6 not even four months ago. I doubt much changed individually for him over an offseason

The number of blown leads last year with the talent we have on our roster is alarming, and we blew a 3-1 lead again last night

Our defense and goaltending are not ideal, but I'd say worse tandems on other middling teams have managed just fine without collapsing down from multi-goal leads

I hope the Yzerman has balls to say enough is enough if we have the same song and dance as last year early on. Another coach could do wonders and Lalonde just needs to go back to assistant coaching elsewhere

The style of play is very taxing. Need more controlled zone exits and entries. Nit sure if Lalonde is capable of such tactics.

For the record, I'm not alarming here because it's the preseason. Honest question, do you really think the Wings will once again lead the league in 3rd period comebacks?

What went wrong for this team to have a preposterous collapse like they did when Larkin was out? Why was it only Raymond out there looking remotely interested in doing anything meaningful during that time?

I tend to think that the coach has a extra job to do to when the team's most important player and captain goes down and they're comfortably in a playoff spot

I will happily eat my words if Lalonde drives different results for the team early on this season. I just don't see it with him

I know it's only preseason, but I'm not impressed by the current system. It doesn't appear any more organized than last year.
