I don't know that Ryan in serious consideration for 4C, I still assume he's just the 13th forward.Ryan blocked a shot and was limping.
I don't think Philp won the 4th C battle yet.
Vancouver is S- too, just go to the east sideFrom the Canucks forum:
"Regardless of results , thanks goodness I don't have to live in a shithole like Edmonton"
My response:
"Regardless of results, thank goodness I go home to a house I OWN and not RENT"
IMO Ryan has shown more than enough to keep his job.I don't know that Ryan in serious consideration for 4C, I still assume he's just the 13th forward.
I don't disagree, I don't think being the 13th forward loses him a job, it's the reality of how he fits.IMO Ryan has shown more than enough to keep his job.
Also apparently the oilers are making you pay an extra 10 for the playnow or whatever patch at the front if you buy a jersey from the team store.
Not just an Oilers thing. All teams do this. I imagine its from fanatics or the NHL or both.Also apparently the oilers are making you pay an extra 10 for the playnow or whatever patch at the front if you buy a jersey from the team store.

Coming off a game 7 loss, I just stopped following the entire summer. I started kind of getting back into it these last 2 pre season games, but this is the first time I am not amped up for the season. Anything besides a cup this year is going to be a let down to meI’m slowly starting to care about hockey again.
Oddly still a little fatigued from the playoffs though. Anyone else feel that way?
I’m normally itching to watch regular games again. Don’t feel the same this year as we turn to October.
I’m sure 10 games in I’ll be back up to regular speed.
Pretty sure game #2 b/c he said lets try to win 1 at home and see what happens.I'm excited to watch this game tonight. Friday night game that I can watch live. Full rosters and should be close enough to the real season as we're gonna get in the preseason. See you all at puck drop!
BTW - That McDavid yell, what game was that?
Any Canuck fans release any new Canuck youtube hype up videos lol
East of the PNE ain’t bad at all though. I never see needles or anything too crazy by my place.Vancouver is S- too, just go to the east side
I'm jealous!Well I hope the boys win tonight - not that it matters. Just to keep the trash off the forum if anything.
Just about to go wheels up - Iron Maiden in Vegas tomorrow boys! Enjoy the game tonight!!

What a horrible trade. Still pisses me off.
Their defense is not poor lol it actually looks good on paper and when games count will gel more. And it's so useless going down schedule and prediction how tough or easy their schedule is at a certain time. You take a game at a time and pretty sure those so called tough teams are calling oilers a tough team. Take a deep breath lolI haven't watched any pre-season because I could not care less, but my general take on the Oilers' roster right now is:
Forwards = GREAT
Defence = POOR
Goal = OKAY for now
Cody Ceci was a valuable player (despite what most of you seemingly think) and there is hole there now. Desjarnais was good in a limited role, but should theoretically be replaceable. Broberg didn't give much in the RS but he showed his potential in the playoffs last spring, and his loss is big.
The defence really concerns me. If the Oilers blow a tire in the first few games again, I could see them losing confidence and trying desperation shake-ups to the D-core, resulting in another disastrous first 15 games or so.
Luckily, their schedule seems favorable, with the first 4 games at home against (theoretically) 'beatable' clubs. If they can somehow win about 3 of those first 4, I think they'll be okay to survive until February or whenever Bowman Jr. decides to acquire another Dman.
But their schedule in early/mid-January is absolutely brutal...

...so they're going to need to make hay before then, and they'll probably have to do so before any defensive help arrives.
By the way, if I'm the coaching staff or Connor, I'd be encouraging the players to look at this season as a series of "best of 7's". That is, they have to win 4 games out of 7 all year... and when you reach 4 wins, you stop and start over. If they fail to make it to 4 wins in any 7 game stretch, Connor gets to flog any three teammates of his choice.
