Quick search on nhl website. Since 1993-1994 serason, the Habs had the #1 PP in 2007-2008. So you are right! It faceplanted the next season.

If you discount lockout regular seasons, as I do, the Habs have had a very bad PP since 2011-2012. Thus 13 years of Benny Hill music
