For sure, I'm impressed - never know what a guy is going to look like at the next level. Sometimes it's just a matter of system, other times it's reaching the top level and thinking "this is not as scary as I thought, I'm just as good as anyone so I'm going to try some stuff."

Wonder if any of our closer college watchers can lend some insight into where this side is coming from. I really don't remember any reports of spin-o-ramas, etc. Mostly just smooth skater, steady defending, boring even.

He was and is a great skater. Minn didn’t ask him to be more offensive. Also the bigger ice causes one to be cautious. Easy to get caught in no man's land.

I'm wondering if this is coaching in Buffalo - go, try things, work on being creative, it's okay. Motzko isn't really that guy (not that he's a bad coach, all of his teams are positionally well coached and emphasize winning hockey).

thinking the best option at this point might be Comrie on the team and UPL traded somewhere. We need to win this year and Comrie gives us a better chance than UPL.
