He passed up a wide open shot from 10 feet away and then blasted a slapshot into a player's shins who was six inches in front of him from the blueline.

He also made two puck recoveries, which is pretty glaringly absent from the roster tonight.

Of all the kids trying to make a legitimate case for a roster spot, only nesterenko has had a good night tonight, in my opinion.

Also, Fowler not playing once yet is a little weird. It would be reductive to just point to the trade stuff, I doubt that, but it's weird. Maybe he's nursing something.

This is a tough watch.

I shouldn't be this mad watching a bunch of ahl players, but it's annoying. At least show remnants of some system that could be effective with talented players. This just looks boring and familiar.

I was curious so went back to look… our last good year we went 2-4-1 in preseason, including losing the first 5 games in a row.
