Pre-season is meant to get the team ready for the season, the real issue are management sending full teams of scrubs on away games. Pare isn't even an AHL, he's a ECHL player. Shouldn't even be there.

Pierre Dorion is a new collaborator on French radio. This week was his first week. He was asked about how it works when a team ices an AHL/prospects heavy line-up for preseason games. The point of the question is that fans in Montreal and Toronto for example pay a lot of money for tickets even if it's preseason.

Dorion explained that in almost every game, the GMs talk to each other and agree on the kinds of line-ups they ice. In some cases, a GM lets the other know that their either dealing with injuries and so they will ice a inferior line-up. And sometimes, one will let the other one know they will ice a line-up most of AHL guys or prospects when they play on the road. The other GM will agree, but will say that when they will play in the other building, he will also ice an inferior line-up.

Basically, it's discussed among GMs and they come to an agreement. Dorion did say that sometimes, the NHL isn't happy, particularly when they play in a Kraft Hockey Game. But the discussions are among the GMs.

That is absolute garbage. He has added players that will fill the bottom lines. There is nothing he can do currently when he is stuck with the turds MB left - Dvorak, Gallagher, Anderson etc.
