Vaaks has been engaging in the OZ.

Damn... LaCombe skates like normal and the King trying to race by him for a loose puck is chopping his legs twice as fast as LaCombe, but LaCombe isn't losing any distance. Crazy! And then LaCombe is just calm with the loose puck.

Hinds pound players and locking them up along the boards.

afterwards, LaCombe blocks a shot. Gibby's gonna love LaCombe.
If LaCombe doesn’t make the team, not sure what to think.

Damn... we were too aggressive on that rush. mishandled that puck, turnover, and lead to a breakaway.

It's not good. The last two sequences had forwards playing the last line of defense. On that breakaway, it was F McLaughlin racing back. The previous sequence, it was Perrault playing defense on a king breakaway. My spidey-sense was screaming... a forward playing defense!

I think the coaches told the D to be even more aggressive in the second half the period. I noticed LaCombe racing into the OZone and he usually doesn't do that. After him, there were just wave after wave of d-man pinching like Hinds, Luneu, White, etc... We were better being judicious when our d-men pinched.

What this means is that a forward was not rotating up for the pinching d-man. This is the same problem we had last year with Eakins. A forward is too slow to recognize a pinching D-man to rotate into that open position.
