More like lifeless.
Last year he really popped-out in the eye test when he played. He was winning puck battles on the boards like it was nobody's business, was skating harder, and just overall seemed better.
This camp he's looked a lot more pedestrian, and a lot of it is due to chemistry (or lack of) with his linemates and usage/circumstances but he's still got to be better.
I'd send him back to the AHL. He was good to end the season last year, but this camp he's behaved a bit more like a veteran, mailed it in a little bit, and we shouldn't reward that sort of behavior.
I'd actually have ABB over him in the lineup the way both are playing right now.
