I said this before so I don’t want to get repetitive but I work in hockey and have spoke to others about him. There’s a very good chance he would’ve dropped to the second round had we not taken him, and from my own assessment, he wasn’t on my top 45 list and was pretty much a DND for me

To sum up my thoughts on Othmann
-tries to play like someone he isn’t which leads to dumb penalties, bad frame as well
-predictable shot that will dominate juniors but won’t translate
-bad skater
-lastly, I can’t see an actual role for him in the NHL and you should never draft a player that has a label of being a much better prospects “sidekick”

we're projected to average 6,000 goals a game. 492,000 goals in 82. I haven't seen the detailed projections/splits yet.

Let me rephrase this. What makes Jones less of a standout than Nils so far? If this continues, why does Nils get the slot in over Jones?

It’s a valid Question. Nils has a better shor, but they are very comparable players otherwise. Add to the fact that Jones can play LD/RD.
I see why Carvel liked his style to fox. Both are smaller elusive guys that are very smart players.
If nothing else, Jones have been upping his trade value IMO
