So its early but it looks like we start the season with

Kreider Zib Laf
Panarin Strome Kakko
Goodrow Chytil Kravtsov
Blais Rooney Reaves

Miller Trouba
Lindgren Fox
Nemeth Lundkvist

I honestly havent watched enough to judge Nemeth but he seems fairly underwhelming to me so far, anyone got a read on him who watched more than a handful of his games?

Based on the lineup, it looks like they are 7 and 8 on the depth chart. Which is fine.

My baby came out at 30 weeks hes in the NICU for a month already, wish you the best man it’s hard but a beautiful thing
I’ve been there. It’s hard but it gets better, and before long it’s all a distant memory. Feel free to DM if you need to vent about or talk to someone or anything

Didn’t see the lines posted, anyway here they are:

Would be surprised though if Henriksson didn’t center the 4th.

Don’t forget Goodrow. A lot of people underestimate how good he is. Defensively he’s one of the best in the league, and his work ethic is valuable. He’s a guy that will lead by example and be the first to buy in
He’s gonna be a super valuable guy you can plug on any line pretty much. Putting him along side two youngsters will be so important vs running a line with three kids under 21/22.

Nemeth isn't here to be amazing, he's here to kill penalties and be okay in the defensive zone.

Think what Steve Eminger was for us back in the day.

Lundkvist and Kravstov haven't won their spots yet, those are up in the air IMO, and so we should be watching that extra close, along with Jones, Schneider, Barron, and Gauthier.

Nemeth was awful in Colorado last year. If he can just play average defense then that’s a win. Expect zero offense and you won’t be disappointed.

He wasn’t bad in the regular season at all. He got exposed in the Vegas series but so did Girard (the worst) and Toews. He’s a steady bottom pairing D that’s physical and can be a Swedish mentor for Lundkvist on a pairing together. I think his contract is a year too long but that’s not too bad especially compared to what someone like Ceci or Poolman got who are both worse

If he gets surpassed early on by Jones or Robertson it's extremely cheap to just send him to Hartford or keep him as a 7th, as well. The contract isn't expensive enough to be considered much of an issue, same with Reaves.

Nemeth is just a safety net in case none of the LHD prospects make it straight out of camp. Fitzy referring to him as Steve Eminger is spot on. That's what we should expect. And if Schneider, Jones, Reunanen or Robertson outplays him, so be it.

I do not think they gave him 3 years and 7.5M to be a safety net. He's going to be a regular on the team.

Is this game on MSG or ESPN?
How do I watch? :(
When I check my NHL Center Ice schedule it just shows this:
FAPAcD7VgAA7YKQ

Normally it shows who's playing which games at which time, so are none of the games on Center Ice?

Yes, he is. But I am not convinced he is a Ranger for the full 3 years. They just couldn't afford to bet on more than 1 rookie making the team. Nemeth is a perfect stop-gap solution for as long as it will take.

I think he will be a regular for at least the first season, and halfway through the 2nd.

My channel guide is showing that its on MSG

Browsing the Islanders board it looks like they are playing Aatu Raty tonight. Definitely not looking forward to him having a great game and this board imploding. Lot of people around here wanted him
