Oh, I was actually thinking of the 2006-2007 season then. That one is high on the list for me!

I think that despite everything, that first season after the lockout I was expecting more of the same. 2005-2006 may be the most feel-good season I can remember, and it still feels like we're riding that wave.

Ah, well 2000-2001 would be up there too then. Messier's return had me excited enough to cement me as a Rangers fan for life!

Seriously though, the 12 guys being cut today plus Grubbe who was cut yesterday, spent a few days with the big team in camp which is great experience. It's nice to have camp back after that freaky year we've just had.

Weren't the Rangers in 1st place as late as January in the 2000-2001 season? I think it was Fleury's best year before his issues and best year for the Czechmates.

I had twins in the NICU for a month after the were born. I learned how to wash my hands thoroughly before the pandemic. Up to the elbows with spiky sponges.
