It is going to take more than what we did in the offseason to NOT get shut out half the time against the Islanders. NYI is basically the same team as last year. We are still very young. We need a better, mature core to properly compete. That is what Gallant is here to do, but he needs time.

That’s perfectly understandable. I wanted to rip my eyes out watching that game today. I hope there’s big changes with the Giants soon, that shit show can’t go on.

As for the Rangers I will just try and make you feel better by reminding you that, especially early in preseason, the lineup is vets trying to get in shape and get their timing and then kids who are trying really hard but don’t belong. Preseason basically comes down to his does your goalie look and ours looked like butt.

I really like Hunt as a 4th liner/ 13F. Is it just me or does his skating stride actually look like the last Ranger to wear that number in Ryane Clowe? He skates very upright like Clowe did and I feel like he actually resembles him on the ice, but Hunt is a lot quicker.

They're half ahlers and lost one of their only vet nhlers in the first period. Got in a 2-0 hole while playing the half the period 4v5. And its game one of the preseason.

The team performance means nothing. They lost when goodrow got evicted. But i think plenty of individuals have played pretty well.
