The first two games are primarily AHL types or CHL types that will be in the AHL next season.
The NHL guys are just stretching their legs in these games.

After these games, probably the first group of cuts and then games become more like NHL tryouts.

Nobody is taking performance by NHL talent against scrubs as a measuring stick of their progress.
These games are more for getting a look at players like Bonk, Luchanko, etc. before they get sent back to the CHL.

Once the first round of cuts are made, the games get more serious b/c you're playing against guys fighting to win NHL spots.
