That looked more like Kevin Owens is in the triple threatHow can you not do a triple threat?

That fell flat imo
still six weeks to go. plenty of time (and prob some roadblock ppv) to write the story
For sure. I would agree with that.I'm OK with it. They got 42 days so you need storyline.
They could have given Sami the DQ win to set up a triple threat at Mania. When Roman was hitting him with the chairs would have been the perfect time to do it. Ref wakes up, sees the chair shots, DQs Roman. It ended as expected. They weren't taking the title off Roman.
They botched Hogan losing to Sting at Starrcade anywaysThey botched it, this is like if Hogan beat Sting at Starrcade. Complete garbage

Instead they're doing Roman vs Cody, and regulating Sami to the tag titles.
No main roster PLEs before Mania. NXT Roadblock is the next PLE.still six weeks to go. plenty of time (and prob some roadblock ppv) to write the story

It's dumb to effectively kill the hottest, most over performer you have to help build a mid-card title match. There's plenty of options for the tag titles. Off the top of my head, you could have easily done Sheamus/McIntyre as both of them are babyfaces and have history with the Bloodline. They need some kind of story for the tag titles. Zayn & KO are the logical option with their history and boreline connection.
Best friends reunite to dethrone the Uso's is the better story and keeps Zayn's momentum somewhat alive. In a triple threat he would be the one likely to get pinned by Cody, so as to keep Roman's streak of not being pinned alive.
I mean you can, but it's obvious that's not what they're doing. You can set up a triple threat off this if you want. Sami got the visual pin, Roman had to heavily cheat to win.
But the Bloodline story also involves the Usos, KO needs something to do at Mania as well
Cowardice of the highest level.(in fake scripted land, not real life)They're obviously setting up Sami/KO vs Usos, especially with Sami accidentally hitting Jey.
It's a shame. They had something here with Sami in the title picture, but they went the safe route.

Basically everyone wanted Sami in the main event picture. And small-time WWE thinking ruined it.
He didn't have to lose the titles tonight to keep Zayn in the title picture. It is dumb, but WWE has been jamming Reigns down our throats for 3yrs. They aren't going to waste it on Sami Zayn, who they don't see as a main event talent.
As it is, if Reigns loses at WM it likely won't be clean.
Again im not a fan of Reigns (he's boring as hell.) I think they've tried to hard to make him like the modern day Rock. They used the Rock connection to get him over. Zayn carried the bloodline story and now people will tune in to see what Jey does.

Why not, though? That's what they said about Danielson and Kofi, and those two are two of the most memorable moments in WWE history. What's the point of keeping him in the picture though? They aren't going to put the title on him.

Sometimes plans change or at least should change. With how over he is, it's obvious that most of the WWE fans wanted to see him dethrone Roman, and the tag titles as a consolation prize just feels real cheap. It just isn't the same feeling having him Helluva kick Jimmy for the win at Wrestlemania for the tag titles as it would have been Helluva kicking Roman for the Universal title.
Just my opinion.
