still six weeks to go. plenty of time (and prob some roadblock ppv) to write the story

It ended as expected. They weren't taking the title off Roman.
They could have given Sami the DQ win to set up a triple threat at Mania. When Roman was hitting him with the chairs would have been the perfect time to do it. Ref wakes up, sees the chair shots, DQs Roman.

Instead they're doing Roman vs Cody, and regulating Sami to the tag titles.

They need some kind of story for the tag titles. Zayn & KO are the logical option with their history and boreline connection.

Best friends reunite to dethrone the Uso's is the better story and keeps Zayn's momentum somewhat alive. In a triple threat he would be the one likely to get pinned by Cody, so as to keep Roman's streak of not being pinned alive.

You can set up a triple threat off this if you want. Sami got the visual pin, Roman had to heavily cheat to win.

But the Bloodline story also involves the Usos, KO needs something to do at Mania as well

It's dumb to effectively kill the hottest, most over performer you have to help build a mid-card title match. There's plenty of options for the tag titles. Off the top of my head, you could have easily done Sheamus/McIntyre as both of them are babyfaces and have history with the Bloodline.

Basically everyone wanted Sami in the main event picture. And small-time WWE thinking ruined it.

Bloodline imploding should not come at the expense of Cody winning. It should be Sami.

What do the usos even do without the Bloodline though? i would not break them up.

I mean you can, but it's obvious that's not what they're doing.

Jimmy superkicked Sami.
Sami tackled Jey, which is what's going to cause Jey to turn on Sami going forward.
KO came out to help Sami.
KO stunnered Jimmy.

This has Usos vs Sami/KO written all over it.

It is dumb, but WWE has been jamming Reigns down our throats for 3yrs. They aren't going to waste it on Sami Zayn, who they don't see as a main event talent.

As it is, if Reigns loses at WM it likely won't be clean.

Again im not a fan of Reigns (he's boring as hell.) I think they've tried to hard to make him like the modern day Rock. They used the Rock connection to get him over. Zayn carried the bloodline story and now people will tune in to see what Jey does.

He didn't have to lose the titles tonight to keep Zayn in the title picture.

What's the point of keeping him in the picture though? They aren't going to put the title on him. They've made a big deal about Cody returning despite his last run with WWE being a joke that ended with a stupid stardust gimmick.

What's better for Zayn? Being pinned in the main event of WM (neither Roman or Cody are taking a pin if Zayn is an option) or ending the Uso's run and winning the tag titles?

Why not, though? That's what they said about Danielson and Kofi, and those two are two of the most memorable moments in WWE history.

Sometimes plans change or at least should change. With how over he is, it's obvious that most of the WWE fans wanted to see him dethrone Roman, and the tag titles as a consolation prize just feels real cheap. It just isn't the same feeling having him Helluva kick Jimmy for the win at Wrestlemania for the tag titles as it would have been Helluva kicking Roman for the Universal title.

Just my opinion.

Trust me I'd love for it to happen, but it's WWE and they routinely f*** up gift opportunities when they fall into their lap.

The issue is two fold though.

One is too many other people's Mania storylines are wrapped up in this that you can't just suddenly have KO or the Usos just do something else. It's too intertwined to just trash can that plan.

Two. The crowds also love Cody. This isn't 2014 where they rejected the storyline they were trying to push. Like it or not, Cody is white hot as well.

You can either have Roman work both nights, Sami work both nights, or you do the original plan.

Sami has to pay off his story with Jey and in turn Jey has to pay off his 3 year long story with Roman.

If they f***ed up at any point, it was months ago when they decided to unite the belts and not spilt them up when they had plenty of runway. Then you could have had both Cody and Sami's moment on the same show
