Well I would say that depends on who is in net, but apparently Detroit's goalies are as bad as Wedgewood so we might get away with one even if he does start.

He basically was last season too. Novak just doesnt have the trust of Brunette to run as 2C. Not gonna go into whether or not that earned or not but it is what it is. We dont have an actual 2C. Maybe sissons can elevate his game as a good enough placeholder

Sissons put up decent enough numbers last year playing with mostly just ok players. Might as well see what he can do as a first try I guess.

Everything else is just noise. How well we sort out these (and injuries) will drive our season. But I’m not worried about early season turbulence as we get this plane off the ground.

It's not an issue of trust it's that Novak isn't playing his game with Stamkos and Marchessault. He defers to them, which is why he came alive once he got moved back with Evangelista. Brunette actually explained it in the last game.
