I mean Askarov likely wouldn't have been playing either, he's been injured the entire preseason and I'm not sold he will be all of that. That said I never liked the Wedgewood signing.

I wouldn't have minded losing Asky if we'd have kept Lankinen. I get it, with getting Stamkos and Marchessault we had to be going for it which meant we had to keep Saros and unfortunately neither Asky or Lankinen would have signed for that unless it was well over the odds. Which is fair enough - Saros will play 60+ which demotes them to the least utilised backup, which neither deserves.

Gotta hope this isn't a Rittich situation, or that Chroma can be a lot closer than Ingram was then I suppose. Or maybe Matt Murray is the Matt Murray Matt Murray was supposed to be. Am I drunk?
