On the ?bright? side Saros usually sucks at the start of the season anyway so maybe we aren’t missing out on much?

What does that mean?
I don't think there has ever been anybody anywhere questioning Trotz's knowlege/expertise? If there has been a question, it is: well, should we really be going "all in" with some of these veteran big contracts etc, as opposed to building more slowly with all of our young assets/picks? I think that's a valid question btw - but one which is only going to be proven out by what actually happens on the ice, not by anything anybody ruminates on here. Meanwhile, it was a gutsy gamble that I really like. Always try to win - that's my preferred approach. If you can also do that while stockpiling draft picks and prospects, so much the better, and Trotz seems to be doing a great job overall of doing both. Who is questioning him?

I’m saying Trotz and most of Preds nation is excited about this team Barry built. High end talent and maybe a bit on the older side but they will be good for 2-3 more years easy so it’s a win imo.
I was just saying I don’t understand a negative outlook on the roster for this season. I think we could win a cup for sure! Barry already has one,

Yes, that was a gut punch. We were going to lose that series anyway though.
Still think it would have felt less like being taken around the back to get shot with Saros though.
I mean, those three pairing will get even use at even strength. Special teams should be the only difference in ice time.

I'm not being negative I'm just being realistic. This team could go in any direction, anywhere from being injury riddled to being a competitive team in the playoffs. Problem is one is just as likely as the other, we won't know the answer for months.
After watching Florida play the other night, I think they would chew us up and spit us out, but hey who knows.
I take it you haven't seen him playing in the preseason then?
