I don’t know man- it’s a little disheartening and depressing hearing so many people saying we were better tonight than we have been.

Caps had SIX expected goals tonight and just look at that heat map

Moneypuck had it 82% Caps

I guess it is better than a completely lifeless shutout at home but if that’s a better effort from us then we are in big big trouble

I mean that's how bad its been, its not an untrue statement to say it was better. It may not still be good, but being a dumpster is still an improvement over being a dumpster on fire.

They were at least generating some chances tonight. Maybe we didn't do anything with it but at least someone was doing a little bit of something offensively. In the previous games we've done nothing on either end.

Kids were the best line of the night. Cycled. Played with speed. Passes were connecting. Good scoring opportunities. It's amazing what young legs can do for your lineup.

I actually thougt we were pretty decent in that game. Sure, we gave up a bunch good looks but they were mostly off of individual mistakes rather than our structure breaking down.

4 posts? 5? A horrible non-goal call from the refs? Yeah, I'd say most nights you win a game like that. Last night we didn't.
