Ehlers tried hard to sell it.
It was off the shoulder and because Fly does the shot with a gun move often the refs ignored it.
I thought it was the case live and looked at the replay again and concluded that was the case.
Ehlers needs to dial back the theatrics when he gets hit, that’s why he has the reputation he does.
As expected he came out in the third just fine.
I love Eels and hope he stays here but I hate when he does that.

The Jets powerplay is good - but not as good as it had been leading up to the break. Regression was expected, and here it is.

There is regression and then there is not scoring in b2b games with a 2 man advantage. If that is not cause for concern then nothing is.

A lull was going to come at some point. Better to happen in Feb during an overall win streak as opposed to the post season

Payne is magic as far as I’m concerned. I think it will get fixed. They already made adjustments in one game and that was on a back 2 back

Old friend, we will disagree. Eels was crosschecked in the throat. If Fly played for either

- New York Ringworms
- Vegas Gut-shot Idiots
- LA dropkicked Serfs

That would have been a charging call, in my humble opinion.

Yes unfortunately we are back to the Blake Wheeler power play. Everyone skates to their spot and there is little movement after that. Ehlers used to throw a little stick of dynamite into to pond but he has converted to the stay in place strategy as well.

We were on a back to back, you could see we were a little tired. If we play like that for 5 or 6 games in a row i might have concern but right now......

The Jets PP is insane this year. they have 10 players in the top-75 in PP Pts/60 in the NHL, 8 in the top-50 (min. of 70 PP mins played). This jump in PP efficiency couldn't have come at a better time if you're players vying for new contracts or eligible for extensions, like Vilardi, Ehlers, Pionk and Perfetti.

A "meh" game against an even more "meh" team. Saros always plays well against us, but I just wish we could have gotten more than one goal for Comrie so his record didn't continue to be so misleadingly bad on such a good team.

Still though, it's not like this game had any bearing on the standings.
