Is any team a lock for anything once the playoffs start?Yup a couple ot wins, a shootout win and a stagnant powerplay. This team is good but not a lock for anything once the playoffs start.
Yours truly

Always pleasant to have people around who really hate the idea of people having fun.Glad you’re here to make sure people don’t have too much fun during the best Jets season of all time.
I think some teams like Florida and Edmonton have shown they can win in the playoffs but no team is a lock because it is a combination of things like luck, staying healthy and great goaltending that allows teams to survive the playoffs. Is any team a lock for anything once the playoffs start?
I don't agree but I still like ya !Thanks Ron maclean
I hate when a missed call goes unpunished and i don’t think theatrics were involved here
If Connor was hit like this, you and I would be screaming from the rooftops
Let just agree to disagree here
Poet , I was sober honestOld friend, we will disagree.Eels was crosschecked in the throat. If Fly played for either
- New York Ringworms
- Vegas Gut-shot Idiots
- LA dropkicked Serfs
That would have been a charging call, in my humble opinion.
Best season of all time so far!Glad you’re here to make sure people don’t have too much fun during the best Jets season of all time.
Connor has scored in the PO's in previous years. Id hope his improvement in engagement and 2 way play for the majority of the year transfers into the PO's.I think some teams like Florida and Edmonton have shown they can win in the playoffs but no team is a lock because it is a combination of things like luck, staying healthy and great goaltending that allows teams to survive the playoffs.
My main issue with the Jets is Conner, Ehlers and Perfetti are not necessarily built for the playoffs and the defence is on the small size. NSV is not a great team but used the forecheck to throw the Jets off their game. It has been a tremendous regular season too bad it is not like English premiership soccer where the top regular season team is the champ.
jets had far more then 10 shots half way thru the game, who ever was tracking that 1st period did a terrible job lol...
Its going to to get rough and tough in the playoffs .I think some teams like Florida and Edmonton have shown they can win in the playoffs but no team is a lock because it is a combination of things like luck, staying healthy and great goaltending that allows teams to survive the playoffs.

1st line has gone pretty cold. Ehlers had to get the first line going again by moving. Come on little spark plug drive that pp.While I agree the schedule affects wins/losses... granted its a long flight but a back-to-back after two weeks off and a game against Senators AHL team is not much of an excuse.
The Jets just didn't move on their powerplay - that's the game right there...
We weren't goalied because Comrie kept us in it when the Jets only had what 10 shots for first half of the game?
Just see some of the old bad habits coming back... long shifts, slow changes, chasing the perfect pass, not moving their feet... the Jets can still force a win based on talent alone but they need to make some adjustments...
Jets are still a very good team but all the games since the break seem a lot more like the team Garret described than the one we have been watching on this win streak...
Florida yes, Edmonton has had one good playoff run in all of the years with McJesus so going by your theory that's the same as the Jets.I think some teams like Florida and Edmonton have shown they can win in the playoffs but no team is a lock because it is a combination of things like luck, staying healthy and great goaltending that allows teams to survive the playoffs.

I mean, they also predict the Leafs will do well in the playoffs, so the prediction is plainly not based on previous playoff performance. It's just tired pessimism for the sake of tired pessimism.Florida yes, Edmonton has had one good playoff run in all of the years with McJesus so going by your theory that's the same as the Jets.
Ohhh Toronto is always a lock for a great playoff run.....Is any team a lock for anything once the playoffs start?
I understand how you feel to a degree.I think some teams like Florida and Edmonton have shown they can win in the playoffs but no team is a lock because it is a combination of things like luck, staying healthy and great goaltending that allows teams to survive the playoffs.

There are way more things to worry about in life than the Jets losing in the playoffs . It's entertainment ultimately and that's how i try to look at it. But they better win the Stanley Cup damnit....I understand how you feel to a degree.
We’ve seen this before and we have been reverse swept twice for sure.
I am hoping that this team has learned from those losses and that we can win in the playoffs.
It’s natural to be leery about the playoffs but like @ps241 says just enjoy the moment now and see what happens.
I kept watching for it to change and most of the time it didn't.jets had far more then 10 shots half way thru the game, who ever was tracking that 1st period did a terrible job lol...

That is the blue print to beat this team but in the regular season most teams are not committed enough to do it whereas in the playoffs for a short series the 'wrong ' team like LA or Dal could sweep the Jets but let's enjoy the regular season success. It could be worse the Jets could be playing for a wild card spot, which is what I thought would be the case this year. When teams play heavy a forecheck, and finish every check, takeaway the neutral zone, we don't respond well.
Chevy must be working on something. Big top RD. Playoff top 6 forward with grit
I agree with enjoying the moment specifically their dominance this regular season and last but it is not as meaningful as playoff hockey, which can make an indelible impression on even the average fan let alone superfans who take the time to post on here!I understand how you feel to a degree.
