Forwards:

C Lindholm - Boston
RW Heinen - Boston
LW Maroon - Boston
LW Girgensons - Boston
C Carpenter - Boston
C Nosek - Boston
Defensemen:
LD Kulikov - Boston
LD Edmundson - Boston
LD Scandella - Boston

Forwards:
C Lindholm - Boston might overpay but they do need a #1 Center
RW Heinen - about half the Bruin fans here want him back but I am with the other half
LW Maroon - don't think there is any interest at all in bringing him back
LW Girgensons - no need as Boston has about 10 players currently fighting for 3rd and 4th line minutes
C Carpenter - see above
C Nosek - see above

Defensemen:
LD Kulikov - I don't think I've heard his name mentioned as a possible signing but wouldn't mind depending on the contract
LD Edmundson - the Bruins just got rid of Forbert and Grzelcyk so adding him just would not make sense
LD Scandella - see above

Not exactly a top UFA but there's a ton of smoke right now around Columbus and Monahan.

Surprised Kane’s only doing a 1-year deal, but then I’m not. They can hide a bunch of bonus money in the contract, attached to extremely low expectations aka Bergeron.

Guess he also wants to weigh his options every off-season and/or deadline.

The good thing for Detroit is, if he’s as productive as last year and they struggle this year, they’ll get a nice piece for him in return. Won’t be anything crazy, but they will get at least what Chicago got.. 2nd and a 4th with the upgrade on the pick to a 1st if the team makes a conference final. If he leaves the process open to 2-3 teams, they’ll get more.

It’s Kane though. They won’t move him unless he wants to move.

Look, Kane has it good in Detroit. His young family is there with Debrincat’s young family. Kids are the same age, and they’re always together. That’s a big thing for a player to have a support system when you have little ones and you’re on the road as much as they are, with no family in town. Hell, I’d even suggest his partner has told him that’s where she’d rather stay.

Those types of things matter when you have little ones. He goes somewhere else, she has to pick up and move again, with no support system in place. It’s one of the reasons he chose Detroit last fall.
