Made this before but some slight changes. 56 games, top 4 teams get in, interdivision play only:

Canadian:

1. Calgary
2. Toronto
3. Vancouver
4. Edmonton

5. Winnipeg
6. Montreal
7. Ottawa

Central:

1. Tampa
2. Carolina
3. Dallas
4. CBJ

5. Florida
6. Nashville
7. Chicago
8. Detroit

East:

1. Boston
2. Washington
3. Pens
4. Islanders

1. Colroado
2. Vegas
3. Blues
4. Minnesota

5. San Jose
6. Anaheim
7. Kings
8. Coyotes

Canadian was easy, just not sure of the top 4 order. East was tough, some teams who improved (Buffalo) get screwed. West was just between Sharks and Minny for 4th, and the Central was toughest for me, Tampa is great, Carolina good, and then 4 teams of varying mediocrity* and 2 terrible teams.

*Dallas without Seguin and Bishop for most of if not the entire season is making me lump them in with the rest

I’m going with this. Darn close to what I think. Canadian division who knows. I think rangers will be better. Tampa no need to explain, I think Boston takes a step back regular season but then does what Boston does. Colorado no questions are scary and they’re just getting started.

Here's how I figure prediction of the Central is going to go:
"Well, Tampa Bay and Dallas were Cup finalists, so they're in. Detroit and Chicago suck now, so they're out. Everybody thinks Carolina's good, so put them in too. Who's left? Um, Nashville disappointed last year, Florida disappointed last year, Columbus oh yeah I thought they were going to suck but they did pretty good, I guess I'll put them in 4th. Done!"

(I'm personally hoping Dallas is crippled by losing Seguin and Bishop for so long and Nashville sneaks in on that, but that's less a rational pick and more a homer daydream.)

Sabres got screwed last year and now again this year. Having said that, they still squeak in.
Buffalo, Boston, Pittsburgh and Islanders will all be within two points of each other.

1. Flyers
2. Capitals
3. Rangers
4. Sabres

5. Penguins
6. Bruins
7. Islanders
8. Devils

East:
1. Philadelphia
2. Washington
3. New York Islanders
4. Pittsburgh

4. Calgary

Central:

2. Carolina
3. Columbus
4. Florida

West:

3. St. Louis
4. Minnesota

Ya the Canadian was so easy that you got it wrong.
Edm,Leafs.Habs and 4th will be a battle between the Nucks Jets and the Flames.
Sens will dominate the bottom spot.

Im having a harder this year with rankings

Pacific:
1. Colorado
2. Vegas
3. STL
4. Minny
5. LA
6. ARI
7. SJ
8. Ducks

Canadian:
1. Toronto
2. Edmonton
3. Calgary
4. Montreal
5. Vancouver
6. Winnipeg
7. Ottawa

This division i find the hardest to rank. Theres so many ways the top 4 could go

Toronto should be the top team
Edmonton is hard to rank, but they have the best top 9 of forwards they've had in awhile, they have a pretty good group on D, hard to predict there goaltending though, but with a healthy Mcdavid they could be a force
Calgary should be one of the better teams with better goaltending now and a good team overall
Montreal looks way better then last year and you never know with Price in net.
Vancouver and Winnipeg also could easily make the playoffs
Ottawa is really the only team i see not making the top 4, but watch them make it lol

Central:
1. Tampa
2. Carolina
3. Nashville
4. Columbus
5. Dallas
6. Chicago
7. Florida
8. Detroit

Tampa and Carolina should be the top 2, then its hard to say after. Dallas is missing both Seguin and Bishop, but they were also missing Bishop and Seguin was playing hurt during there run to the cup, so they should be in the top 4, but ill leave them out for now

Atlantic:
1. Washington
2. Pitts
3. Philly
4. Boston
5. NYI
6. NYR
7. Buff
8. NJ

Devils

Cental

Tampa
Carolina
Nashville
Dallas
Florida
Columbus
Chicago
Detroit

West

Colorado
Vegas
Blues
Minnesota
Ducks
Kings
Sharks
Arizona

The Cental was tough because they have 6 capable playoff teams any of the top 6 could finish top 4

  1. Colorado

Buffalo

What Divisions play each other in final 4 of Playoffs? Central vs Pacific and East vs Canada?

The Atlantic will be a lot tougher to predict in my estimation. Washington only has one young goalie, and a new coach. Pens are unpredictable in net and old, Philly tends to start the season slow, Boston lost a top 4 defenseman/2 top forwards, Obviously Buffalo improved but they have an unstable environment. Devils and Rangers are young.

Islanders (The Least Turnover)
Philly (Least Turnover, Slow Start)
Pens (Picked Crosby over Ovi)
Washington

Devils
Boston
Rangers
Buffalo

If Patrick is good to go I pick the flyers winning the division. If he doesn’t I still think they will win it. They struggle against the NY teams but do well against the rest in the division.

Two NJD fans picking Buf to finish last (one even has them just missing the playoffs)

How cute

I am reading that the NHL may have to move all the Canadian teams to the US. That would tend to kill the Canadian division.
