Have Germany ever had so much depth as they have right now?

Have Germany ever had so much depth as they have right now?

The early-to-mid 2010s, early-to-mid 90s, and late 60s to late 70s.

Wirtz and Musiala are the best talents we've had this century and could both land on our all-time team, though.

Sweden;

Isak - Gyökeres
Elanga - Larsson - Bergvall - Kulusevski
Svensson/Dahl - Hien - Starfeldt - Holm
Olsen

You ain't doing anything worthwhile with Hien in your starting 11, especially in a back four. Don't you have other options there?

Meh I don't really see that as a top 8 team in the world right now.

Maybe not on paper, but with Nagelsmann behind the bench we were one of the two best teams at the euros last summer, we're gunna be in the NL final soon, and (if healthy) we should be even stronger next summer. Having the best NT coach makes a big difference.

Really ? Heard he is doing great in Atalanta and chased by bigger clubs.

We have Lagerbielke (Twente), Lindelöf and Pontus Jansson. Not much depth.

Norway.

Haaland - Sorloth
Bobb/Nusa - Aursnes - Berge - Odegaard
Wolfe - Oestigaard - Ajer - Ryerson
Nyland

Ur joking right?

They have 2 great players. And then bunch of meh/has beens/young and unprovens.

If you want a good idea of the current state of German football look at the 39 best 21 and under players in the world article released today by ESPN. Or u can check any other source that ranks the top pipelines/21 and under talent pools. Outside of Wirtz I believe there was one additional German in the ESPN rankings. Meanwhile Spain, France, and England all have 5+ young potential stars in the making.

As has been the case for the past decade, Germany simply are not developing NEARLY enough young, quality/high-end talent. Compare the youth pipeline to that of the other European powers and it’s a noticeable drop off. Hence their current status, a tier below the world elite.

Yay! I've really missed you. Between our success at the Euros, the u17 trophies, and our u19/u21 teams currently rolling; I was worried we'd never see you again but luckily ESPN says we're doomed. Hopefully nothing comes up at the next international break and you can enjoy the NL semifinal with the rest of us!

World Cup: - Predict possible 2022 WC national teams rosters/lineups

Brazil;

Rodrygo
Vini - Raphael - Anthony
Bruno - Ederson
Abner - Gabriel - Marquinhos - Vanderson
Alisson

Id love for them to take that team to the WC. That attack isnt doing anything. Midfield is meh and backline is dodgy. The coach needs to be settled too.

What are you talking about. And why do you bring up Don Cherry.
Every WJC Canada losses Cherry provides a list of players missing. Its an on going joke.

lol
With all due respect, using ESPN rankings as the reference point ain’t it either
I checked out the list out of curiosity its godawful. Worse than you can imagine.

I dunno guys, a quick google confirms that Wirtz is our only young talent. Nobody rates Wanner, Pavlovic, Musiala, etc. And it's not like it's possible to watch a player like Joni Burkardt to assess his quality for ourselves. So I would trust what espn has to say...

We haven't won the U17 world cup since 2023 and the u21 euros since 2021, for a reason.

One of the fake player you mentioned has the number 13 in his name...

Ugh, don't remind me. Yet another EPlol fraud. Teams get burned for not taking #s put up in that defense-optional joke of a farmer's league with a massive heap of salt, every time.

That's what happens when a world class club coach takes charge of a NT :dunno:
