Yeah not sure why anyone would be surprised by that.

I was hoping chabot might look like a new man coming back from injury and playing under JM but he just doesn't have any fire left in him apparently.

No need for a big shakeup, just trade Chabot and Kubakik and bring in a strong top-4 defensive dman and a quality vet and we good bb.

Chabot is honestly cooked. I don't think you can change a guy's mindset at this stage of their career. They either "get it" or they don't. He's not going to start playing with pace/intensity out of nowhere.

I don't think his contract is easily moveable though. I doubt many teams want that anchor on them.
