I would like to see Barzal with Marner and Konecny... Maybe Strome between Virtanen and Perlini?

It's still exhibition, might as well play around with the lines a bit to try and find some chemistry here. Canada has loads of skill.

Sloppy period for both teams. 3 penalties for Canada, and Sweden had a tough time connecting on passes at ES.

Hopefully Marner and Strome kick it into another gear when the tournament starts

Marner with the puck is great but without it he has ways to go.

Spoken like someone who hasn't watched him play with the Knights

if Canada wants any chance at winning this they have to stay out of the box and take away W. Nylander's ice, limit him.

it's a pre-comp game lol. I'm sure they'd like to win but I think the main point in these games is to get some team cohesion. They can try and take Nylander's ice and try and limit him, but come on! the kid is lighting up the AHL, I would think it would be extremely hard for any of the Canadian guys to do what you're saying. Nylander is going to get his chances and will have the puck a lot when he's out there so you just have to try and do your best.

Aho?!? Did he lose his teeth or chin?? Concussion?!?!?

The guy is a gamer. And in my POOLI!!!:shakehead

Always the rough Canadian boys hospitalize one Swede in this same pre-comp game. When do the Swedes learn?!?

I thought the breakout really struggled in the first, wasn't a lot of puck support through the middle and so we got a lot of dump insurance and cross ice passes that are easier to break up.

People need not worry about Marner and Strome.

They aren't playing for anything here, they're both on the team.

Just get the games going, they'll be fine.

He tried to block the puck and it unfortunately hit him in the throat. I don't think you can blame this one on the "rough Canadian boys."

Wasent it a puck that did it?

"rough Canadian boys" lol Sweden has arguably a bigger team than Canada does.

I wouldn't say that's true at all. I've been to several Marlie games this year and Nylanders defensive game has greatly improved. Nylanders is much more well rounded at the moment.

As someone that has watched 80% of both Knights games and Marlies games, it's true. Nylander has pretty good defensive game that has gotten a lot better this year, but Marners defensive game is one of his strengths.

I don't. Just hoping the guy can play in this tourney. And not cuz of my pool. Hopefully he is okay.

Haha Leaf fans need to stop letting everyone troll them about their prospects. Its just a pre-tournament game.

Impressed with Sweden's physical game thus far. Liking Perlini - Barzal - Virtanen too. Hopefully Aho is ok... it sucks seeing players get injured in these exhibitions.
