Is it weird to be happy with this result? I mean they were down 5 - 0 and they managed to score three times in 45 seconds to make it at least kind of interesting. Although I am sure the Swedes had the game under control, maybe they just lost focus for a minute.

Sweden looks great on paper, how was Aho? He struggled last year but is captain now? He showed some great offensive flashes but some huge blunders too.

Hopefully there is more to come! No team has sent more dynamic prospects to the tournament than the Leafs, so I can't wait to chime in when necessary.

Still thrilled to know though, that any leafs related post still gets to ya, lol.

Aho really only had one bad game last year. He was mostly terrific.

Struggle? He was probably the tournments best d-men, at least easily swedens best d-men. He is our best d-men in the defensive zone as well. This 2 so called mistake that where not even any big mistake is taking way to big proportion. Every player mistakes in every game.

It is not exactly wrong to shoot when you have a good scroing chance, it was maximum bad luck on a block shoot. The other was a half missed drop pass, but the thing is it was all under controll. He after all got the puck down to the oppents zone around the goalie with every of sweden players outside the offensive zone, it was the fact that after he did that, that 2 of our forwards was forechecking that open up alot of space. So if any bigger mistake was made there, it was from the 2 forwards. If only one would have done it, the space would not have been there. Either way, I do not like to just base a view on a player on 2 moments. You have too se beyond that and look at the whole picture.
