DP saw Bickel coming and said pass. It's little stuff like taking a hit to get the puck out of the zone that are the difference right now.

Kobasew is essentially being doubleshifted. He's taking shifts with the second line after the PP, then going out with Sid again. God forbid Beau even get a shot, ya know?

Beau's going to make the team. Kobasew we need to see if he's worth the time.

With a nice period.

Other than the break away that he flubbed, D'Agostini was invisible.

I have no problem with D'Agostini not making the team. From everything I've read about him, unless he's scoring, he's not giving you anything else. I don't even remember seeing him so far in the 1st other than getting stick-checked by a 40-year old goalie.

Our forward locks look to be: Crosby, Malkin, Neal, Kunitz, Dupuis, Bennett, Jokinen, Sutter. Who do you think will be the bottom 4 regulars in the lineup?

The Chicago commentators are really complimenting Bennett. A lot.

That's because they don't suck. Best Duo in the league, arguably. Pat and Edzo are easy to listen to.

The goal wasn't that soft. Bennett anticipated the shot and broke to the net. Watch the replay. He created a nice screen. I can't remember the last time a Penguin did that on the PP. Once in a while, someone will park in front of the net. Most often, the Pens screen nothing. But, what Bennett did was so subtle yet so uniquely impressive on this team.

I meant the shot didn't have a lot of mustard on it and was deflected besides. But Khabibulin definitely not sharp tonight either. Both goals were pretty soft by regular season standards.

I said this before the season, Beau Bennett will become as good as St Louis one day. His play now is supporting that. Seriously, he's going to lead the league in assists one day.

Vitale, Adams, and Glass will be three of them. Whether all three should be is another matter.

Got it . . . and don't disagree about quality.

Bennett could hit top 10-20 this year if he spent it with Geno and Neal.

Also , I kinda hope our 3rd line is Jokinen-Sutter-Kobasew to start the season. For some reason, I'm much more comfortable with Kobasew there than D'Agostini. If D isn't scoring , he's useless.

I love the guy, but I think you are getting a little ahead of yourself here.

Agreed, although I fear no matter what Beau does, Jokinen will be playing LW on another line and it will be Beau on Sutter's LW. Not sure where this fear comes from. :sarcasm:

Bennett with Malkin and Neal would be 60 assists guaranteed per season (not this year, but when Bennett develops more). I'm kinda thinking I'd rather see Beau with Geno and Neal in the long run tbh, it just seems like they work well together. Too bad Sid, the 2 wingers we got for you are going to Geno
