Pouliot is so smooth on the PP. It will be a wait for the rest of it, but it may be worth it.

Also, I remember moaning a lot last year that nobody on the PP would time a break for the net for when the shot was coming, so as to create last minute chaos in front of the net. Enter Beau Bennett, who IMO is this team's third best forward by end of year at latest.

Well deserved PP goal for DP. His quarterbacking is a thing of a real beauty. He does everything so well on PP, I believe he´s already the best D we have for this purpose.. It´s still not enough to earn the spot, but his time will come and I´m ****ing looking forward to it.

Agreed. The kid just does everything right.

So ******* good. He's our best winger.

I didn't have the balls to say it, but you're right. As I said, even that Pouliot goal, it doesn't happen unless Beau perfectly times his break for the net to set up the screen. You can't teach the smarts and skills this kid has.

Kirk and RRP agree. Cats and dogs, living together . . . :)

Fact: Pouliot is a better PP QB than Letang is right now.
If a defender is near him, he doesn't panic, ever.

We have some talented young players for sure. Bennett and DP look to be game changers. Not this year for DP but maybe next.

Don't know how good your streams are but Bortuzzo had a real nice shift where he rubbed Kane out on the end boards then got into a fight and tagged Brookbank a couple times before taking a coupe himself.

Bennett looking good as usual. I think his best asset out there is between his ears. He has a really good instinct for where to put himself and what's going on around him, very at ease. I think he's going to develop into that home-grown offensive threat we've all been jonesing for for the last 6 years or whatever it's been.

Early in game D looked really disjointed / flat-footed, including on the Hawk goal.

Pouliot's goal was more a soft one let in by the goalie than anything else but Bennett was close to getting a deflection (think it actually went off the D based on the view I saw).

Hard to believe how good Bennett is at the little things. Can't remember having been as pleasantly surprised by a Pen as I have been with Bennett. He just does so many small things exceedingly well. I don't think it's absurd for him to develop into an Elias-like player.

Crosby and Bennett have such great chemistry. I don't know the answer to this right now, but who was Crosby's last linemate who played 25+ games with him and was both drafted and younger than 35?

I'm not sipping kool-aid here, but I actually think Chuck Kobasew may earn a spot on this team. He goes to the net. The Pens have so few forwards who do it that alone might earn him a spot. Honestly, he looks o'k, playing with some grit on a team that needs it.

Don't worry everyone. Soon the regular season will be here and we can go back to watching our garbage power play.

No one will argue he isn't a thousand times the player Glass and Adams are. Except our coach I suppose.

If Pouliot trains with Letang one year, I think he's NHL ready. He has a lot of tools that we need right now. But it just looks like he is missing some speed/strength.

Sill, Vitale, Megna together? YES PLEASE. What an annoying line to play against.

And look at that....in-zone offensive time! Good shift.
