About Matheson... Petry became quite good at 28 too. This could be a hell of a steal if we basically got a younger Petry for a washed up one.
Agreed he looks better then Petry did last season but that's not a high bar...I know it's really early but he looks even better. Petry was smooth, but he wasn't overly dynamic and he had those slow dangles that were alwaya dangerous for takeaways. Matheson looks more involved, faster with his stick.
News flash: preseason games do not count in the standings.Evans ruining the tank ffs
And I just can't containWATCH HIM AS HE GOES
Well I described him as a left-handed Petry when we got him. He actually may be better i.e. more consistent defensively.About Matheson... Petry became quite good at 28 too. This could be a hell of a steal if we basically got a younger Petry for a washed up one.
Everyone wants Jake the SnakeTSN reporter Claire trying to get as close to Evans as possible. Like Jesus.
We won the trade no matter what. Petry wanted out and played like shit last season.About Matheson... Petry became quite good at 28 too. This could be a hell of a steal if we basically got a younger Petry for a washed up one.
We also gave up Poehling, who I think could be a good bottom six guy, but you're right about Matheson. He's looked better than I expected so far.About Matheson... Petry became quite good at 28 too. This could be a hell of a steal if we basically got a younger Petry for a washed up one.
If Evans stays healthy, he might land us a 2nd round pick at the deadline. He is a versatile piece for a team just missing a penalty killer, that can win faceoffs, chip in offensively, and grind it out. He's a solid player.
Why trade Evans? We can also use a guy like that...If Evans stays healthy, he might land us a 2nd round pick at the deadline. He is a versatile piece for a team just missing a penalty killer, that can win faceoffs, chip in offensively, and grind it out. He's a solid player.
I said the same at the time of the trade. When we got Petry he was at best a 25 point dman. It was the season when Weber started hurt that Petry really flourished, having to take on way more responsibility.About Matheson... Petry became quite good at 28 too. If Barron develops into a top 4 that would be amazing.Once you accept that Barron isn't the showy/flashy type, you realize he plays a pretty solid game. Just don't expect him to carry the puck a lot or do anything cool with it. He complements Materson quite well.
Why on earth would you do that?If Evans stays healthy, he might land us a 2nd round pick at the deadline. He is a versatile piece for a team just missing a penalty killer, that can win faceoffs, chip in offensively, and grind it out. He's a solid player.
Great! Good for him, he was great at the WJCOn a side note recently demoted Josh Roy has 2G 2A in his first 2 Q games
I don't see any reason to trade Evans.
