That being said, Vesalainen has looked consistently good. Strong board work, good passing, good forecheck and backcheck and zone clearing.

Out of all of the forwards who are on the bubble, he is the only one who looks like he can fit in anywhere up or down the lineup. Nice combination of skill, size, physicality and hockey smarts.
