Just because it's on nhln doesn't mean there isn't a chance it will be blacked out. I'm hoping it isn't but nhln preseason b's games seem to be always blacked out

I could be wrong, but I don’t believe there will be a blackout because the game is not being broadcast locally on NESN. I seem to remember a couple games in past preseasons on NHLN that were not blacked out (the game where Looch tuned up Chris Neal comes to mind)

Pretty rough lineup talent wise but still interesting players to watch again.

Julien making this easy for Gust

Also nice to see that Julien has been willing to mix his top9 :shakehead

while this pre-season has been short, it seems to be taking forever.

Sometimes they are black out sometimes they're not. Nesn didn't broadcast the B's Caps preseason game last year and the nhln had the game and it was blacked out. That's why I was saying just because it's listed don't hold your breath for it.

Just realized Rangers are icing NHL team with King in net, if we are able to score 1 goal tonight it should be a win for us.

It's pretty clear these are the guys they want to evaluate for roster spots, the last preseason game will probably be almost a finished roster right?

Rinaldo, Talbot, Randell, Kemppainen, Blidh, Ferlin, Koko* are all vying for a fourth line job. This will be interesting to watch.

*Maybe he lines up to the left of Spooner, Hayes moves over and Connolly to the 4th?

Cross, C. Miller, Irwin, Trotman. I wonder if this means Morrow is a lock now?

Was that the game in Baltimore? If so, it was streamed on the Bruins website.

Like you said though, I'm not holding my breath.

I was thinking it too, hopefully this means he has the edge over Irwin for the 3rd LD spot.

I doubt Julien had much of a say in who will be in the lineup, this is the time scouts and GM evaluate players, it is preseason.

Most likely unless they're really stuck on who to pick out of the remaining bunch and need another game to evaluate. They have nearly a week between their final preseason game and the season opener to get the final roster acclimated.

I'd have to think that if the brass were thinking of putting Koko next to Spooner on the wing that they would have given him a couple of looks on the wing this preseason. I don't think it's a coincidence they've been playing him in the bottom-6 for nearly the entire preseason. I think they're trying to see how he does in the role he is battling for at the moment as his effectiveness on the bottomline is something for debate.

Cross, C. Miller, Irwin, Trotman. I wonder if this means Morrow is a lock now?

You now have me wondering this as well.

With Seids out, the likelihood Boston carries 8 D for a while means that for the start of the season that only one of those 5 defensemen you have listed is likely sent down. As of right now Cross has actually looked pretty good this preseason but he's more of what the team has in spades and is IMO the favorite to be sent down.

That isn't even worth watching, but I will because I'm an idiot.

It's a great lineup so long as your perspective is seeing how your prospects are performing in training camp. Which, you know, is partly what training camp is.

That's my impression of this. As you mentioned, this is a line-up to determine who plays with Kelly on the fourth line and serves at 13th forward, and who will be on defense with Chara, Krug, McQuaid, Morrow and Kevan Miller.

Three fourth lines there. They're going to throw them all out there and pick 2-3 guys to make the team. Same kind of story on defense.
