Zito said they were looking for a 3rd goalie, not a backup, sounds like it's Judge's job to lose, so in that case Vanacek is whatever. I said it before I don't really get the concern for a backup goalie, Driedger is starting like 6 games this year, it'll be ok. Don't get me wrong, definitely needs to be addressed in the summer but I have full trust in Bob. And yeah if Bob gets hurt it's over but he's never hurt and that applies to most teams except maybe the Caps and the Canes. Also the Oilers because both goalies are garbage.

I am more of the camp Bob should play less to finish the season. I'd rather him rested for April May June than play a shit load in March.

I hope Christopher Robin Driedger can steal some starts.

Demko is back skating but has had a terrible issue with injuries last few years.
Wonder if Zito can swindle him with retention and Driedger gets a couple games while Demko gets back into game shape.
Has another year left at 5 mil and was playing solid before his February 8th injury.

Lankinen just signed long term with Vancouver, who is in a weird spot, would they sell low on Demko now?
Boeser may be the domino that tells the story in Vancouver if they sell or buy

Not gonna argue with the stats but just based on my own observations, Stenlund was noticeably better at maintaining possession along the boards in the ozone, even if it rarely resulted in actual production.

On the other hand, I don't really notice Nosek much, which isn't a bad thing for a 4th liner, but Stenlund's style of play was hard to miss. Then that's not even getting into his PK abilities

I said it a bunch last season, but Stenlund was one of the best 4th liners we've had.

Regarding the cap hit, normally the answer would be hell no lol but since we have the space and he’s a pending free agent, if he won’t cost much asset wise then I say go for it. We have the space

I think he's the perfect 4C you want in the playoffs. Won 2 cups with Tampa. He would probably be thrilled to come here and have the chance to win it again.

Because they're both almost mid-30s and the replacement is he who shall not be named which doesn't give much comfort. Say one of the top-4 guys get hurt, that puts Kuli into mid-pair and then you get a Schmidt/Ballsack bottom pair.

Assuming Tkachuk comes back, we've got more depth on the forward lines. Full strength Erod may be playing 4th line duties when he could also easily slot up to 1st. Would like to add a depth forward too, but feel like there's a bigger drop-off on defense if there's an injury.

Casey Mittelstadt-pretty much waves goodbye to Benny, Avs reportedly very open to moving him so price could be extremely reasonable
