Tank was great for us last year, but he has no place on this team anymore. We're deeper at forward now, and he makes way to much .

There’s no way Detroit eats half that contract for both the remainder of this season plus all of next year too, and certainly not for the fairly meager return he’d get. Even if they did retain half, we’re better off utilizing that cap space elsewhere.
