OT: Potential Sens in the Olympics

Too bad for him but Canada is too deep at his position.

If anything this will keep him healthy and provide with a nice chip on his shoulder.

The Olympics have never been good for the Senators, hopefully Anderson doesnt hurt himself a la Hasek...

After Crosby and Stamkos, you need centres that bring another element. Toews and Bergeron do that. This isn't shinny.

The idea of a shut down line is why these tournaments are even close. Canada should be taking its best players period. The other team can't score if the puck is always in their zone.

Neal - Crosby - Stamkos
Hall - Spezza - St. Louis
Tavares - Giroux - Eberle
Nash - Getzlaf - Staal

Keith - Subban
Phaneuf - Doughty
Weber - Letang

Price
Luongo
Crawford

This team creams any other team in the world.

Jordan Staal and Marchand (though he does add the pest element) are the only guys I question, but even then they aren't bad options. I also might have leaned towards Ward over Smith, but whatever.

That's very accurate. Canada is like the only team that does that. One of the main reasons is their depth.

You don't see Russia taking defensive specialists on their team. Volchenkov :sarcasm: There's also not many Russian defensive specialists

^ Agreed Micklebot. How is Ward not invited to camp...

If that is the case we just release the Lehner!!!

Anderson might not even make the roster. Quick is guaranteed to be the starting goalie. Anderson, Howard, Miller and Schneider will be fighting for the other 2 spots.

I would hardly say guaranteed. Remember how he started the season last year? I could see Anderson starting if he's as solid as he was last year.
