That's very accurate. Canada is like the only team that does that. One of the main reasons is their depth.

You don't see Russia taking defensive specialists on their team. Volchenkov There's also not many Russian defensive specialists

Anderson might not even make the roster. Quick is guaranteed to be the starting goalie. Anderson, Howard, Miller and Schneider will be fighting for the other 2 spots.

I would hardly say guaranteed. Remember how he started the season last year? I could see Anderson starting if he's as solid as he was last year.
